Resources and inspiration for the study and training of the consensual slave

Rituals

ritual is a set of actions, performed mainly for their symbolic value. In learning the art of slavery, rituals can be a meaningful and deeply beneficial tool for us as slaves. It is too easy to get caught up in the stresses and details of daily life. It is too easy to get distracted by our own thoughts and emotions, as I well know. It is too easy to have a constant running list of what you need to take care of in the background of your mind, preventing you from focusing entirely on the moment, and on the task you are currently performing for your Owner.Rituals can help us refocus on our roles as slaves. They can make a task become a form of sacred expression and worship.

Creating and performing rituals for the purpose of deepening your slavery, as well as strengthening your submission, is a beautiful form of devotion and service to your Master or Mistress. Personal rituals can be very powerful experiences. A ritual can be or appear however you desire, it has no limitations, only those which you choose to impose. You can apply this to any task, large or small, for it is all about the meaning and intent you give to it.

Creating Your Own Rituals

Take a look at your life, at your goals as a slave, and at what you know brings your Master or Mistress pleasure while at the same time filling your own heart with fulfillment or pleasure.  Don't just look at the obvious, at the first thing that pops into mind when you think ritual. Look at the most unlikely aspects of your life and see if you could fit a ritual in.

Step One

Decide on your goal. Be it to express your worship, to promote a feeling of sacredness to an event or action, to deepen your submission to a particular lesson, to help yourself accept something new, to develop adoration, to give thanks. There are an infinite number of reasons and goals. Decide on the one or ones that truly mean something to you and where you both are, and would like to be on your path.

Step Two

Decide on the actions and thoughts you will choose to perform your ritual. Keep your goal in mind when deciding. You can be as simple or as elaborate as you desire.  No matter whether a short, simple ritual or a more involved and elaborate ritual, once you decide on the details and purpose, hold it as sacred in your heart and mind. Some ideas of action are prayers, massaging, kneeling etc. I always light a candle while preparing my Master's food. I close my eyes, think of my love and obedience for Him and the privilege it is to serve Him this meal. I ask that the food be infused by my love for Him, and I keep the candle burning the entire prep time. Each time i look at it thereafter, it reminds me to focus on my slavery. To drop every thought I had at the moment, and refocus myself on that and on giving out love as I prepare His meal. This is just one small example.

Step Three

Will any items or a sacred space assist you in your ritual? Words are extremely powerful on their own, but consider also adding some physical elements to your rituals. There are so many items that can be helpful in your performing a ritual. They can be an invaluable in removing you from the world of your everyday life and involving you directly in the ritual. Common items include  incense, candles, music, aromas. Look for personal meaning to you when deciding on what items you wish to use.

Step Four

Consistency. Perform your ritual with consistency, not just once.  While at times you may want a ritual you only need for one time, if you perform a ritual with some consistency, its meaning will deepen, it will develop a graceful flow and a sacred energy for you. This can make for a very powerful, very calming and very inspiring experience. It is a great way to return your focus to your goals and commitments as a slave and to refine your art of slavery.Post below and let me know of any rituals you have created or enjoyed performing.

Washing Master's Feet

I have shared some of my own personal slave rituals on my home page, which you can find here. I have many more then I have listed, some are very intimate and private. But as you can see they can be applied to any aspect of service, which is something I adore. I truly love how I can turn any act into such beautiful expressions and meanings. Rituals are one of the many tools you can use as a slave as you practice and develop the art of slavery.
